ParticipantWell I’m glad I’m not the only one. I reported this months ago during the early beta testing, with no reply or support questions so uncertain what’s next.

ParticipantSame problem here. ¿Somebody has solved it?

ParticipantI have the same issue. I’m auto posting to FB with the plugin, and instead of using the image I put in my blog post, it puts some image from my site in instead. Unrelated image. I can’t figure out why.

ParticipantAfter trying many things, I found that my wordpress cache plugin is the source of the problem. Before editing to accounts please deacitvate your wordpress cache plugins. I hope this helps to many people.

ParticipantNever mind, I found it in the plugin settings and it was checked by default. I also have the Add Open Graph Tags box checked and they are being correctly generated for the posts, including a link to the proper image that I’d like to be displayed on Facebook, and the image is 1880×1028, fulfilling the size requirements for the large thumbnails. Lastly, my link attachment type is set to shared. All of the criteria for the large thumbnails are met and yet I still get small thumbnails in the Newsfeed to the post.

ParticipantI’m running version 3.0.7 of the plugin and I don’t see the “Let Facebook fill the link info” checkbox in the post share settings. How does one get the large thumbnails without that?
%IMG% is useless for Facebook. %IMG% does not add an actual image, it adds the link to the image. THis tag should be used for social networks that support HTML, so you can wrap it in
tag and show the image.
Facebook does not support HTML, so %IMG% is useless for it.
You should use ‘Image post’ if you would like to post an image or ‘Attach/share your blogpost’
This means your image is not yet available at the time you make the post. You can simply delay autoposting to couple minutes: https://www.nextscripts.com/snap-features/scheduled-and-delayed-posting/

ParticipantI got it to work by publishing as draft and then schedule draft to post.
Thanks.Sam
ParticipantI re-authorized the application.
Then I tried to repost an existing post, and it worked.
But if I make a new post, I’m getting again just text and no image posted. I have to go the my wordpress post and click “repost to facebook” in order to repost it with the picture.ANy idea ?

ParticipantHello,
my configuration data are the following:
Post Type: Text Post with “attached” link
Link attachment type: Share a link to your blogpost ..
Let Facebook fill the link info: checked
Message text format:
%TITLE%
%IMG%
%EXCERPT%
pubblicato da %AUTHORNAME% su %SITENAME%
In fact I tried to change the configuration, using other options lilke ‘Image post’ or ‘Attach your blogpost’ but I was not able to make the image appear; the image link is always shown in its place.
Could it be a problem of Open Graph ? My theme (that is a custom one) does not support it, as far as I know.Thank you,
Newcomsas
Post Name is inserted by %TITLE%.
Why would you need to post your internal wordpress post ID on social networks? Then it means something is not alright with your application. Please try to re-authorize it. It id doesn’t help, delete it and create and setup a new one.

ParticipantYes I have featured image set.
If I go to existing post (with only text sent to Facebook page) and click “Repost” on the SNAP option, I’m getting the following error :
Array ( [pgID] => [isPosted] => 0 [pDate] => 2013-11-14 01:13:03 [Error] => [ERROR] (#220) Application does not have the capability to make this API call
)This type of post has nothing to do with OG tags.
Do you have featured image set?
Please try to come back to one of the existing posts and try to repost it. Will it work?
Are you getting any errors?
Please check your Log/History tab and let me know if you have any errors there.- AuthorPosts
