Howdy, I’m fairly new to using SNAP, have read all the FAQs, the Troubleshooting FAQ, and a few of the Twitter topics and haven’t seen the solution to my problem yet where I can’t get Twitter to post the URL to the site but it posts the image instead and you can’t click through to the site.
Here are the test custom posts I had created to be posted to our Twitter account (@GamesOmniverse) and here are the results:
How can one person be an office manager from halfway across the country? @trishalynn lays out her qualifications %URL%
Attach Image to Twitter Post > Unchecked
Image(s) to Use: Auto > Unchecked, No Image was chosenResult: https://twitter.com/GamesOmniverse/status/509800779389992960 – This is my control
How can one person be an office manager from halfway across the country? @trishalynn lays out her qualifications %URL%
Attach Image to Twitter Post: Unchecked
Image(s) to Use: Image from post was chosenResult: https://twitter.com/GamesOmniverse/status/509801025956368384
Problem: The URL isn’t showing up, even when the code is placed. We are still testing out our blog system; sorry for the problems %URL% %IMG%
Attach Image to Twitter Post: Unchecked
Image(s) to Use: Unchecked, Image from post was chosenResult: https://twitter.com/GamesOmniverse/status/509804279758987264
Problem: Even when the IMG tag is placed, it doesn’t show up.I hope this is the last test I have to make – @trishalynn %URL% %IMG%
Attach Image to Twitter Post: Checked
Image(s) to Use: Unchecked, No Image was chosenResult: https://twitter.com/GamesOmniverse/status/509805465648132097
Problem: Even when the IMG tag is placed, it doesn’t show up.So my question is: What combination of checked boxes, tags, and settings do I need to use to have the Featured Image be used to go with a Twitter post and have the full URL show up as well? Or is that not possible at all?
September 11, 2014 at 11:35 am #248246%IMG% is pretty useless for Twitter. it won’t insert image, it will insert only URL of the image.
How can one person be an office manager from halfway across the country? @trishalynn lays out her qualifications %URL%145 character long, which is 5 letters over 140 character limit. The last part gets cut off, in your case last part is the URL.
