How do you set new location info in Instagram?

I found the field in the main settings and those of an individual post but no clear info on the format of the ‘Facebook Place’ ID. Tried searching Facebook Developer info but no info there either.

I tried putting in City, State on a post today and got an error when the post went live. Removed the location info and post went up after that.

Please let me know how to properly set location info in IG – this is a great add-on but could use some more helpful text for end users.

Thank you! I did not find that when I searched ‘instagram’ on the website and found the one line info in the Settings confusing. Fixed now.
